What follows below is my archive of tweets from a staff in-service presentation that I had the pleasure of attending yesterday. The presentation was given by Dr. Willard Daggett of the International Center for Leadership in Education. He touched on a wide range of topics and his presentation was very thought-provoking. He gave us all food for thought, and I wanted to share them here. Of course, if you want to read these chronologically, start at the bottom with number 33. You don’t have to do that, though.

- Going to live tweet some thoughts from preso by Dr. Willard Daggett @ staff in-service.
Thanks for passing these thoughts along! It brings us all back to the conversation “Band music was American culture in the 1800’s…why aren’t we teaching 21st Century American music via 21st Century methods?”
I like #1 the best. Too many music teachers (and I might put myself in this category) teach because we want to stay involved in music, not necessarily because we love kids or have a passion for teaching. Thanks for this list.
I’m glad I land on this page. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I caught myself smiling as I read the post. I love number one since I can really relate to it. I think many music teachers like me just do this profession out of my passion for music and not necessarily because I love to teach kids. That’s why I needed to find music teaching websites to help me acquire the drive and the motivation to pursue music teaching among children. And honestly, those pages help me a lot. Just in case, you may need additional inputs and some more useful music teaching tips, please free to check these pages to help you out. I’m telling you – it’s a good resource for music teachers. All the best, my fellow music teachers.
